It's Autumn Time!

It seems like the celebration of fall is toned down here in the Lowcountry compared to our experiences in New England. But we decided to try to re-create some of the magic yesterday by going to Legare Farms to go through their hedge maze and pumpkin patch, and feed their animals. Overall, it wasn't the best maze, and it seemed like most of the animals had been fed constantly throughout the day and were disinterested in our offerings. But we came home with some good looking pumpkins. The best part was actually the pond with flying fish. It kept us entertained for quite some time until we couldn't bear the mosquitoes any longer.

Durham Trip

Over Columbus Day weekend we took a road trip up to Durham, NC to see the Navy-Duke football game. Added incentive was that Jenny's former Boston roommate, Courtney Morris lives there with her husband Caleb, who is in his final year at Duke Medical School. We had a great visit with the Courtney and Caleb, and loved seeing the beginning autumn foliage. We also witnessed one of the most incredible sunsets ever on the drive up there. Unfortunately we couldn't snap a picture of the sunset, but we did manage to get a couple around Duke's campus and at the lopsided and highly disappointing football game (Final score: Duke 35, Navy 7).
